  • Fixed an issue where pulling with fast-forward failed with “Could not apply stash” when there were uncommitted changes.

I have been using this app for a long time and it is one of the best on the market. I love the concept of software and project management on a global scale.

No longer supports local git repositories for home use, without the paid professional license.

Git kraken has a lot of promise, but there developers are no good and refuse to provide support or even recognize issues. High ram usage, cpu usage, and a slow interface is what greets you on any real repo. Its overpriced for the kind of support given, and can sit for hours doing what source tree or terminal commands can complete in seconds. I would never trust them to even have the capability to improve this product.

2/6/20 This failed to connect to Github out of the box with a 1003 error. I emailed the company and got an autoreply. I never signed up on their site. Proceeded to get a bunch of marketing emails about all sorts of deals. Finally, support contacted me to tell me it's an "authorization error" but by then, I'd tossed Gitkraken into the trash with extreme prejudice. I complained to the tech support person about all the marketing email and that their marketing person was being way to aggressive. I had to explain that I'd never logged in or signed up for ANYTHING but sending them a support email. And that, in my opinion, did not give them permission to SPAM me to death. The support person "passed this feedback onto their team" but I still continue to get SPAM from them, which I'll continue to report to SENDGRID and their content provider. 3/10 tried 6.5.4 and it logged me into Github w/o a problem, so they fixed that. Apparently this app uses a subscription model ($30/year) just to access private repos. No thanks. Tossed it in the trash again.
